Today, on July 4th and while most are taking a day off, you should be out here putting in a training session.
When nobody else is out there training, you must show up and train.
And when everyone's back training, you push even harder. The goal isn't just to outwork others (that's a given) but it's also to outwork your previous self.
Every. Single. Time.
Just wrapped up a grueling training session.
Started with high-paced shadow boxing then, hit legs with Cossack squats and reverse lunges.
This one kicked my ass but I wouldn't have it any other way - training outside in the humid heat of summer.
Forget the gym, be out in the elements
If I had no choice, sure, I'd make it work anywhere. Give me a small space and I'll find a way to get it done. But nothing beats the raw energy of training outdoors.
Step outside, go to your backyard, find a parking lot or a park and put in a hard training session. No excuses.
You don't even need a lot of equipment or weights to get a good session in. Your body weight is enough. Do shadow boxing and Burpees, the ultimate combo for building cardio, sharpening technique and endurance.
It's you against yourself, putting your body in motion and grinding through a tough session. There's no better way.
The real key? Consistency.
Once you start training, you never stop. Not for a day, not for a holiday, not ever. Keep showing up, keep pushing, always aim higher. That's what it's all about.
