Try this 2 minute bodyweight calisthenics fight cardio solo session:

It was inspired by Sakuraba. An MMA legend who fought in Pride Championship and became known as the "Gracie Hunter".

Sakuraba was known for his unbelievable cardio, having fought 90+ minutes in a single fight. That's in addition of having to fight multiple fights in the same night.

In early 2000s, Sakuraba had a training program showing his fighting method. In one of the drills he shared calisthenics based cardio session. He would do a bodyweight exercise switching to a new exercise every 5 seconds on a round based system.

I love the calisthenics based approach, where you constantly moving from one exercise to another adding in the level changes that are so important to your fight cardio.

I got inspired to create something similar for you to implement. So I created an audio for you to use.

I modified the time for each exercise from 5 seconds to 15 seconds and added few movements.

The complete bonus audio session is:

  • 15 minutes, 5 rounds, 2 minutes per round with 1 minute rest in-between

You simply play the MP3 audio file and follow the instructions of what to do and when to switch for each round.

Same format as the "Sprawl and Brawl" audios.

Use this bonus audio to introduce variety into the "Sprawl and Brawl Cardio Program".

Tip: you could substitute one of the audios in the program for this Sakuraba inspired audio or just use this bonus audio on different days as an extra session.
